REBECCA MINKOFF MAB MINI AND WHEELIE

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I don't usually publish "what I bought" posts, but I recently scored some amazing goodies (at great deals) on an online shopping spree, and can hardly contain my excitement.

First, people who know me know that when I find something I love, I go all out. I'm talking multiples of the same style, but in different colors. I regretfully (but not that regretfully) inform you that this is now the case with the Rebecca Minkoff MAB mini I recently featured here.   

  I purchased this teal little gem on Bluefly and immediately fell in love with the style and functionality of the bag. The outer pocket is perfect for easy access to my phone and business cards, and the interior is super roomy with pockets galore. I love the top handles, which are long enough to wear over the shoulder but short enough to still look great when carried on your arm. Coupled with the boho tassles and optional shoulder strap which can be slung over the shoulder or cross body, this bag is reminiscent of my all-time favorite bag (the Balenciaga city), but 1/4 of the price!   After carrying this bag for a week, I started itching for another color. My top choice was classic black, but I kept telling myself "No!" since I already have a black Balenciaga city which has a similar outer pocket, tassles, and straps.   That's when I stumbled on this beauty...     A MAB mini in Lipstick! I've been looking for a casual red bag and although it wasn't on sale, Amazon had a 25% coupon so I still saved $125. :)   But still -- you know how sometimes you just want what you want? After days of telling myself to be happy with the lipstick MAB mini headed my way, I still couldn't get the black version out of my head.   I was elated to find a "pre-loved" black one on Bonanza, in great condition:

Check out that AMAZING smooshy leather! Sometimes buying pre-loved items can be hit or miss, but the sellers on Bonanza seem to be generally very reputable and honest with their listings and descriptions (see my thoughts on Bonanza here). Rebecca Minkoff's classic black bags almost never go on sale, so I was so happy to find this one at an incredible price. New ones can be found here.

So at this point, I've bought WAY more bags than I need, and am feeling pretty guilty about my excessive spending. Time to shut the laptop, right? Wrong.

This afternoon, Gilt had a Rebecca Minkoff shopping event. Perusing their selection, I was relieved to see that none of the bags really caught my eye. That is, until I came across this stunner:

Luggage! Amazing, right?    This style is called the Wheelie, and looks exactly like the MAB handbag... except clearly bigger and equipped to be wheeled like a carry on. I was taken by the cuteness of this bag, and just couldn't resist. I justified the purchase by reminding myself I was actually saving money by buying this at a discount (I know, terrible line of reasoning, but you handbag addicts can probably relate), and telling myself, "Well, this isn't really a handbag... it's a small suitcase."    Looking for a MAB mini of your own?
