SEBASTIAN: SALON-TO-HOME SHINE TREATMENT AT SALON EVA MICHELLE
"It's like lip gloss for your hair," said Michelle Lee, owner of Salon Eva Michelle on Newbury Street. Amazing, right? But first, a little background:
As many of you know, I recently chopped off 11 inches of hair... leaving me with the shortest cut I've ever had. I couldn't be happier with my new 'do -- morning prep time has literally been slashed in half, as I just wash and go. But with winter coming, I've been wondering how to keep my hair healthy looking.
I was thrilled to be invited to Salon Eva Michelle to experience Sebastian's Salon to Home Shine line. It started with a Cellophanes In-Salon Glossing Treatment and finished with some amazing new products from their "Flaunt" product line.
Occupying myself while the heater worked its magic on the Cellophanes treatment!
Michelle explained that Cellophanes is a peroxide- and ammonia-free heat-activated formula that helps close the hair cuticle to create a really reflective shine. It comes in 10 different shades (including clear), and I tried "Pearl," which is meant for blondes but also works well for people who have highlights and want to kick out some of the red.
I was prepared to crinkle my nose when Cellophanes was applied, but was pleasantly surprised to find that it doesn't smell yucky like a lot of the glossing treatments out there!
Michelle sprayed my hair with Sebastian's Trilliant Thermal Protection and Sparkle Complex. If you blow dry, flat iron, or curl your hair, do yourself a favor and get some of this -- it gently conditions hair and gives light volume. Love this stuff!
My favorite product was this Shine Crafter wax, which is SO different than other waxes out there. It has a really soft, silky formula that isn't oily at all. I love that it has rock crystal extracts and gave me really soft texture (and smelled amazing).
The wax also has a pearlescent glimmer, and like lots of girls out there, I always seem to be attracted to pretty sparkly things. :)
Thanks to Salon Eva Michelleand Sebastian for a fun afternoon! I haven't stopped touching my hair since leaving the salon and am excited to keep the shine going at home with Sebastian's shampoo, conditioner, and styling products from this Flaunt line.
Michelle also shared some great hair tips with me, so stay tuned for another post coming soon. Happy Saturday, everyone!
