A couple weeks ago I posted about our breakfast nook. With the recent arrival of this new area rug, we are officially halfway done with decorating this room!
Because of the room's funny dimensions, it was difficult to find a rug we loved that actually fit. We wanted something contemporary and sleek (with no more than 2 colors), but needed the rug to be 8' by 8'.
I was thrilled to discover Rugs USA carries this amazing zebra rug in all sizes -- including 8' by 8' (yesss!) and that they would be generously sending it to me. I love that the rug has a border, which makes the crazy zebra print a little more refined. The rug arrived at my doorstep within days (days!) just in time for our Christmas dinner, and is super soft with no shedding. Two thumbs up on quality!
Now, there are only a few things left to do in this room: (1) paint the walls a super light grey, (2) find wall art with nice pops of color, and (3) replace the window treatment with a more modern fabric. The electrician is coming next week to install our mason jar chandelier, and I can't wait to share more photos with you!
I know, we'll just have to try and drip on the black stripes! ;) I already spilled spaghetti sauce on one of the yellow chairs... sob... I'm so accident prone!
Love what you've done here, the inspiration pic was fabulous and you've really done it! And I am obsessed with grey walls - it just looks so chic and sets everything else off so nicely :)
I am so jealous. Love your dining set with the zebra print.
