SOLIDS
If you're like me, your closet is full of solids and basics. It's great because your wardrobe will last you years. Thing is, it's easy to get bored of wearing the same things day in and day out.
My favorite way to get the most mileage out of my simple garments is to create new looks by layering. This is easy for me since I don't wear many prints -- when your wardrobe mostly consists of solid colors, you can throw together virtually anything and pull the whole look together with a fun accessory (think bag, scarf, costume jewelry, or shoes).
During summer, I would pair this black dress with a fun scarf, flip flops, and bare legs. But on snowy days like today, skinny pants and a jacket take the dress from summer to winter. No jewelry needed, and so easy. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by, and oh my gosh I didn't realize you're a fellow blogger! Love your style-especially your recent post about quilted jackets. So much eye candy :)
DeleteMy closet used to be so full of solids & basics.....they're just so timeless & classic to me like the one you're wearing. Lately though, I've been mixing a lot of prints like florals, polka dots etc.
