Happy Superbowl Sunday! Are you guys watching the game today? Superbowls always bring back fond childhood memories when the entire block used to go to my friend Lauren's house for the game.
Rooting for the Ravens today. I have a soft spot for Baltimore, having spent 4 years there as an undergrad. Have a great day!
Ah, the crock pot! I was tempted to use mine today. Do you have a fav recipe? The last time I tried mine, I had rice in it... and it turned into a big spongey concoction... :(
You look lovely in the winter trench! You rock the chic look so well! I won't be doing anything for today since none of us are into American football but I will watch the commercials later lol
You always seem to have the greatest luck at TJ Maxx near you. Also, I think I'm going to have to steal your idea of how you button your trench to make it seem single breasted. Are you able to close the jacket when you do this, as in, are the sides able to touch still?
Hi Kayci, the sides touch when I close the jacket, but they don't overlap when they're buttoned back like this. To keep it closed, you just need to tie the belt. For some reason, I always wear my trench this way (rather than double breasted). It's much easier and looks better if you decide to leave it open! :)
Thank you! I love how that looks on you. I think my Burberry trench has the traditional button holes on both sides though so hopefully it looks as good as yours does.
All your modeling pictures finally got the best of me and I took the plunge to purchase the brown LV Leo Stole. How long have you hard yours? Any advice on keeping it looking nice and avoiding snags?
Love your blog and your style! Keep up the great work!
Congrats - you are going to love it! It's the priciest scarf I own, but worth every penny. It has the perfect amount of fluffiness and lightness, and wears nicely. No advice on avoiding snags other than to be careful, but I've snagged mine before (e.g. on velcro) and if you pull the scarf at both ends the snags generally disappear. When not in use, I curl the scarf onto itself so it becomes like a twisty ball (if that makes sense!). This keeps it from getting dusty, and also helps retain the casually crinkled, laissez-faire look. You won't need to clean the scarf that often, but if you want to, just fill your sink with cool water and a little bit of woolite. I've only had to do this once and it helped freshen up the scarf!
Classic.. one can never go wrong with a trench, worth the splurge!

Such a classic trench...I'm sure you'll have it for years. You look great. I didn't watch the game but I did watch the halftime show. Beyonce killed it!
Hi Ali, thanks! Temps have been freakishly weird here in Boston. A week ago it was 5 degrees, and with a matter of days jumped up to 60. Not that I'm complaining! This weekend dropped back down again but definitely not as frigid as it has been! Brr :)
Having a crock pot superbowl party tonight! :) Rooting for the Ravens just because its the East Coast !
ReplyDeletePS. I need to go to TJMAXX more often! You look great.

ReplyDeleteThanks Georgina! Such a close game and could have taken an interesting turn after halftime. A good win for Baltimore!
